Above are a couple of Sympathy cards I made a couple of months ago. Started them just before my Dad died, so it was a while before they were actually finished. However, it's not like an anniversary card which is only remembered by - most people - for a day ( I keep my cards up for a month at least lol), and it's never too late to show a bit of love is it.
The cards are based on one I saw on Bab's Blog
Buttons n' Bows, I thought it was inspiring as so much of her work is. You can see the original
here but make sure you stay and have a good look round while you are there, you won't be disappointed. The embossing Folders are both Tim Holtz, the die cuts are spellbinders, ribbon is stash and the sentiments are from
Imag-e-nation, just click on verses for cards in the tool bar to be taken to hundreds of wonderful verses on practically any subject you can think of - suitable for cardmaking that is.
Below is a cross stitched card I made for a recent swap. My first foray back into cross stitch for many a year, but it was nice and simple to do while resting on my bed. The cross stitch and card stock was a mini kit, the paper is 12x12 K& Co.
Hope you'll pop back over on Wednesday for the start of the
Feline Playful, Feline Thankful Blog Hop Celebration. I will have a couple of gifts to give away, from our wonderful list of sponsors, all that is needed is a comment for the chance to win. There will also be chances to win a daily prize over on Feline Playful, and if you complete the Blog Hop you will have a chance to win the Grand Prize at the end of the week. This really is a not to be missed event.
