Candy from Sarah Wright Designs

Sarah is offering this cute set of mini stamps on her blog at the moment as her monthly mini candy for followers. Well worth popping over and becoming a follower. Sarah also has a new shop called Craft All Day....perfect name isn't it. Just now she has some lovely 6 x 6 paper variety packs from  £3.50. I'm looking forward to receiving mine soon.

My Heart Pieces

The image I used for the above plaque is called Nature, is by my blog buddy Priyanka and can be found in her new digi store here. She has a new challenge blog starting 15th May. There is just three days left to enter her DT call (ends 30th April). Click here for details.

I made this for my daughter who (some of you may know) has been bedridden for three years now. She's improved a little, at least she can talk more, and laugh now. She enjoys listening to the birds singing outside, but as she can rarely catch sight of any I am gradually filling her room with them lol. I have made some with needle felting, and I print pictures out for her. I recently saw a picture of an Eastern Bluebird on Dorcas' blog and knew my daughter would love them.

I used 'artistic licence' and made the birds into Eastern Bluebirds, despite knowing they were a little on the small side really. She decided she'd like them hanging from the screen around her bed, so I punched a hole in the top and added a ribbon.

I used Lyra Pencils to colour, my cardstock and gems are stash.

House Mouse Anything Goes

It's our anniversary today, this is the card for my hubby.  I do love how cute these little house mouses are, and there is always one perfect for any (or many) occasions. I used my Lyra Pencils again, enjoying them more and more each time. I scored my cardstock in a double lattice pattern...I've seen it on a few cards around blogland recently. My image is matted onto a satin silver card, and the square behind is a shimmer pearl, also matted onto the satin silver. I have added a silver bead to the crossovers on the lattice.
A Close up just because these little fellas are so adorable.

Popped up with lace and pearls

My last free standing pop up for a while...maybe lol, I do find this style a lot of fun to make.

My Image is from Card Mad Fairy, I added On Your Baptism in Word. I used a little shimmery chalks to colour the image. I think the paper lace is a from a cuttlebug set..I'll have to check.

I decorated with panels of embossed (cuttlebug) folder and papers from Papermania...I think the ribbons are from them too. My pearls are from my jewelry stash

Altered Gift Box

This was a small jewelry box that I'd had for many years. I made it for the bag charm - previous post. I embossed card and rubbed the raised edges with a bronze ink pad. The 'corner' and 'photo frame' are cut out of a bronze craft sheet. I've had it many years and bought from a little craft shop, no idea of the make, but it's a very thin and soft metal sheet. My photo is from a sheet I bought from Crafts U Print, I glazed over it.
Sorry the photo's are of such poor quality..took them with my mobile (cell phone)

Inside of box is also lined with embossed card.

Anything but a Card

A handbag charm I made for a friend. My cameo is fimo, made with a mold from Moldmuse. It's a little fiddly to get it two tone, but I'm managing better with each one I do. Not sure where the beads are from, but the charms, chain and pendent back are from Beads Direct & Bead Shop Manchester

I Spotted a Pop Up

A card I made for my Grandson for him to go back to school after the spring break. As a Jehovah's Witness, I don't send him birthday, xmas cards and the like (he's not a JW) so I do like to make him cards  whenever I can. This is of course a Mo's Digital Pencil Image...and it was so much fun to colour with my Lyra pencils. My G.son is a curly blond, and I just wish I had enough confidence with my colouring to give him a head of curls....still he usually has to have the curls shorn off before going back to school...how I miss them.

It's another free standing pop-up, and below is how it looks folded for posting,
this fitted into an C5 envelope.
I have added a homemade fimo heart charm, decorated with sakura souffle pen,
and a handmade with love heart charm.
They are fastened with a brad I decorated myself.
T
My brads were coloured with acetate pens and then dotted about with sakura pens. My 'ribbon' came tied around a new set of towels. It reminded me of the tape my mother used to write out names on to sew into our clothes for school. Of course my grandson would have no idea of such things...but it appealed to me for a going back to school card.

Look Who Popped Up

This is a free-standing pop-up card, I've made it for a card swap this month. I found the tutorial on Split Coast Stampers.

The image I've used is Gracie, and she was a Freebie on the Sassy Studio Paper Craft Planet Group. She was the Fabulous Friday Freebie last week. You have to be a member, and can join here. I've once again used my Lyra pencils.

This is the card folded down for posting.

My button is made using bronze metalic effect fimo, made from a mold I bought from Moldmuse. It's a vintage button.
My fibres are Basic Grey, Papers, lace, gems & ribbon are stash.

Dreaming of A Krafty Home

A card made for a friend who has moved to the home of her dreams...a lovely flat (apartment) in a converted Victorian building, with beautiful views from every window. She is in Weston Super Mare,  which - for over seas followers - is a little sea side resort on the south west coast of England. I've wonderful memories of holidaying (vacationing) there during my childhood. I'd love to be well enough to go and stay with her.....what else are friends for lol.

The key and 'button' are made from molds I made myself, the button I used as a mold is a lovely vintage one. I used an air dry clay, it's Resin Clay and I got it from Beads Direct here. Once dry I used a gold pen in all the groves, then rubbed all over with bronze glimmer mist.

Thinking Of You In Pinks

This Breast Cancer Awareness Freebie is (of course) from Saturated Canary. Isn't she beautiful. I've coloured her using my Lyra Pencils, and a dot of Sakura white glaze on her eyes.  My papers are Craft Creations, the Lace from Joanna Sheen, dew-drops (thought appropriate lol)  and seam binding are The Ribbon Girl, the rest is stash. My tickets are once again Bitavin's Bastel Blog , a blank ticket which I added sentiment and colour to in Paint.net.

Happy Spring Has Sprung.

Here in the Midlands of England we started with a Spring that was like Summer, but the last few days we've been pitched into Winter. Scotland and North of England suffered worse, with heavy snow, we just had sleet for one day....but boy, has it been cold. My card is to remind me of what a warm Spring can be lol.

My image is a Friday Freebie from My Craft Planet, Sassy Studio Design. She was last weeks, if you'd like to have this weeks just pop over the the link above and join the Forum, Friday Freebies are only ever available for 24hrs, and this weeks is a beauty.
I coloured her with my Lyra Pencils, and for a change I was happy with the results. I feel I'm beginning to get the hang of them and becoming a little more confident. I've sent for a few Prismacolors to bridge the gaps that I feel there is in the colour range.

My tickets were freebies from Bitavin's Bastel Blog, there are a few with sentiments, this was from the blank ticket she supplied and I added the sentiments in Paint.net, then coloured with Promarkers.
My DP's are Kay & Co, the buckle is a die cut and the rest is from stash.
