Forget you're ill

A get well card for a five year old with chicken pox, poor boy. I'm hoping this will cheer him up a little, he likes cars. The image is Mo's, and he didn't originally have curly hair, so hope Mo doesn't mind me taking liberties with my colouring pencils. It means he's ended up with big hair, hope his mom likes the 80's look lol.

He's coloured mostly with ProMarkers, but Lyca pencils for the hair and the bumper and go faster stripe. I tired to make them look metalic as per the tutorial on Dorcas' Blog. I only had the dark & light cool grey so had to do my best with those. I'm not too displeased, but want my greys to do it properly lol.

My greeting is stamped, using a frame stamp and separate get well. They are both stamped in versamagic chalk, and the card outlined in the same chalk.

My cardstock is from the £10 Mystery Parcel I received from Sarah Wright today. It's a lovely pearl, shiny and embossed. The Mystery Parcel is well worth the money, I had beautiful double sided patterned A4 cardstock, A4, A5 & 8x8 double sided papers....all lovely. Stamp sets, rub on, sticker, including 3d Stickers, ribbon, raffia, velvet rik-rak. I am so pleased with everything.....such a lot of fun to unpack it all.

Get well Hugs

I adore this image by Delicious Doodles, it's one of four images I won a while ago on ATC & Cards with  Attitude. I did a little shading with  Promarkers in Warm Grey 3 and Arctic blue, and shaded all the way round with blue chalk ink from Versamagic. It's mounted on silver board, it's the lid of one of those foil food containers you can buy (not previously used). My blue lace and blue stick on pearls are part of Candy I won on Jennifer's Blog  she's quite poorly these days and I'm sure she'd appreciate you popping by to show her some love.

I'm entering this for

I've been shopping my stash recently to make some quick cards. All these cards are pre-printed and I've had them quite a number of years, and also all the die cuts, must be at least five. I love this little teddy, and he's a lot of fun to colour - using lyra pencils. His background is a piece of card that I used to soak up extra ink when I was playing with making some backings - waste not - want not and all that lol. I've edged around with versamagic chalk, but think I went overboard.

My wedding cards were fun, I stamped the die-cuts using versamagic chalk inks again, these are so versatile, and blend together beautifully too.
The diecut on this one is gold, and stamped on with stazon ink.

Who likes suprises

Sarah of Welcome To My Little World has the fantastic offer of a mystery box of goodies for £10. I can never resist this kind of offer and have already sent off of mine. She has to clear out some of her craft items to make more space.

The boxes may have papers, ribbons, stamps, dies, pens, gems etc. Some will be used, some may be brand new. Each box will be different.

What are you waiting for, get over to Sarah's to find out how to get your mystery box

Doodle Bugs ATC's

My apologies to followers I've not got round to looking in on recently. It's been so hard to get back in the swing of things since my enforced blogging break due to laptop and internet problems. I'm trying to catch up lol.
A set of ATC's I made recently. My backing paper is Kay & Co, with bit's torn from a postage style stamps sheet. I diluted some green ink with cosmic shimmer and sponged it round the paper, and stamped  over the top. I then made rough sketches of insects and coloured them with Sakura Tiara gel pens. A final finishing touch of a dangly insect charm fastened with a brad. Hope you like them.
