Cornering in pink and black (& white)

Corner bookmark for Lindyloo's bookmark challenge at Creative Harmony. Linda has asked for either a ribbon bookmark, or a corner bookmark. You can enter twice so long as it is one of each type. The receipe is Pink, Black (or grey) and white, and must include a ribbon. You have till 24th May to enter here. Tutorial for simple corner bookmark here.

Close up of cute inchie.
I'll be sending this a an extra gift to my swap partner this month. My cardstock is Bazzil, my seam binding is Ribbon Girl and my iddy biddy inchie stamp is part of the stamp set I won on Sarah's weekly candy. You can enter her current candy here.

My gems are stash. Now here's a question for you, how on earth did I manage to empty my pot of flatback gems all over my laptop.....a better question is....How on Earth am I going to remove the couple that wriggled their way under my keyboard..Yikkes.

Edited. I won for this with Creative Harmony Bookmark Challenge. Yippee!!

Birds In Her Hair Ribbon Bookmark

Another project for my Daughter. She's not well enough to read now, so until she is this will hang in her room for her. She paid for this digi (and another in the set) from A Day For Daisies, Birds In My Hair Series. She also bought the mold that the fimo flower is made from....for my recent Anniversary.
I made this to join in with Linda's Bookmark Challenge at Creative Harmony. You can make either a ribbon bookmark or a corner bookmark - for which you'll find a tutorial at SplitCoastStampers here.
The recipe is Pink, Black (or grey) and white; and include a ribbon or a bow.

Poppies In My Hair ADFD
Lyra Pencils for Hair & skin
Rest in ProMarkers.

Mold from Mold Muse
White fimo coloured after baking with proMarkers.
Seam Binding  from Ribbon Girl (orginally white, coloured with duck egg blue ProMarker)
Pink ribbon from stash.

Hopped in with a Bookmark card

Card with a detachable bookmark was the swap card my group did this month, and I had a lot of fun making it. The bookmark is magnetic and I saw it on Doodle Buddies Naush has some great projects, I'd recommend giving her a look-see. Her magnetic bookmark tutorial is here.

As you can see, it's a multi-fold card, giving me a lot of space to play with. It was my first go at using a banner, and it's really a cheat as I used the cut-off from my cardstock - which is a rik-rak cardstock stack. I've also stamped all over the place on this project. Having just discovered my 'skill' has improved, I've become a little addicted. My papers are Kay & Co. A stack of 360 sheets which I had in a wonderful offer of £9.99. I love the papers. My stamps are clear sets from Papermania. The cute bunny from one and the sentments and flowers from a second set called Honey and Hugs. Die-cuts are nesties and colourants promarkers and Lyca pencils.

A couple of inside leaf shots.
The large rik-rak in the center panel is 'waste' from the rik-rak stack.

Front of Bookmark.
Inside. I've hidden the magnetic strip under the paper.

I'd like to entre this in the Challenge at Crop Shop for Unique Folds

Bookmarking Moment

My first ever bookmark of this type, but I'm going to make others. I saw the idea on Tracey Payne's Blog Crafeezee, in fact it was my choice of top pick on Ambers Crafts and Stuff a couple of weeks ago. You can see her inspiring creation here. It's for the granddaughter of a friend...she's not having a good time, poor mite.

My image is a Mo's Digital, The betweener, and coloured with promarkers. I'm using the flicking method of colouring now...as opposed to making little circular movements....as demonstrated in the tutorial by Annika of Another Messy Crafter. She is doing a series of tutes using Copic's, but the techniques the thing for me. A real must see for beginners and otherwise.

My flowers are recycled from a flower arrangement I had years ago. Lupin or foxglove-ie type flowers that I pulled apart....and put back together in my own weird way lol.
Colours used.
Tan, Vanilla & Blush for skin.
Burnt Umber, chestnut, Cocoa & Terrecotta for hair
Rose, Dusky & Pastel Pink
Oatmeal & Soft Peach.
I don't need to tell you about the blender pen I used to clean up mistakes do I lol.

Receipe...
Image - Mo's Digital
DP's - Basic Grey (striped)
Craft Creations (inspiring words)
Ribbon - Marianne Designs
Die Cut - Nestie Wonky Square
Colourant - Promarkers
Flowers - Recycled
Gem - Stash.
