Skool dayz in the pink.

This card will be going to a young friend of mine. I always make her a going back to school card, unlike me she likes school and I think that's something to celebrate...I can't understand it, but I  celebrate it all the same lol. I still need some work on my colouring, it doesn't stand close scrutiny.....so it's practice, practice, practice for me. Will experiment with different papers too.

I made another little ribbon flower and coloured the bonnet charm with a permanent ink marker as didn't want to put anything gold on the card. Coloured my stickers too of course.

My new stash.
That is the little bonnet charm, part of a box of embellishments that were given as a gift.
Sorry, no trade name on the box.

My Receipe.

Papers - scrapbook papers left over from a Winnie the Pooh set
Colours - Blendable pencils from WH Smith
Permanent ink maker by Tartan
Ribbon Rose - made from stash ribbon
embellishments - stash
Stickers - Anita

I want to enter this card in the following Challenges.:-

Creative Card crew ... Back to School
Incey Wincey .... Back to School
Sketch and Stash ....Sketch and name new stash (bonnet charm)
Crazy 4 Challenges ...Book Theme
Tuesday Throwdown ...Ribbon with a twist

The Paper Players ... Clean and Simple
Pixie Dust Studio ...Back to school
Crafty Catz ...3 embellishments, 2 papers, 1 image

Aly's Sunday Challenge ... use the colour pink

A few close ups

The little bonnet charm, and pretty bow with pearls.

My ribbon flower and I snaffled the pearls from another of the little bows to use as it's centre.

OK I'm being brave and giving you another close up of my colouring.

That's all she wrote.

Linda, this is very nice. It is charming that sort of this is simple but that really gives card peaceful and nice effect.

I've decided that I'm blind and stopped colouring :D

This is again a beautiful card.

Hi Lin!
Just to answer your question about the paper piecing... yes, i printed the digi straight out on the patterned paper. (I glued a square of patterned paper onto my plain white cardstock and shoved it in the printer. )Then I trimmed around what I wanted to use and used my colored pencils to add a bit of shading to the pattern, just to make it look more 3D, you know?
I'm glad you think it looks ok. That card really stressed me out. Not my favorite digi but I had to use it as part of a design team...
