Amber's Crafts & Stuffs #5. Favourite Things.

For my favourite things, I chose my favourite photo of my mom, my favourite colourants and my favourite nestie. I also used my mom's favourite spring flower - the Tulip and, as the page is for her, one of my daughters favourite colours, lilac.

I started this album quite a few years ago, after my mom died..my way of dealing with it was to make albums for everyone. I didn't manage to finish those for myself of pea who lives here...they are on my Get A Round Tuit List.

I've kept the page fairly simple, mostly because the rest of the album was made pre-challenges - before I really knew how to bling it up lol. It doesn't show up, but the background paper to the tulips is a sentiments scrapbook paper saying Memories - in different fonts and sizes.

The image is from Blackberry Lane  Designs and coloured with pro-markers..I used
Lime, pear & moss green
Lavender & Lilac.
I outlined the page and the nestie edges with Lavender.

Feel like joining in, well drag out all your favourite things and come over to Amber's Craft's and Stuff to see the inspiration from the Design Team. Here

Very sweet Linda! Scrapping is such a nice way to preserve our memories of ones we love. Great photo of your Mom and of course since I have a fondness for purple, great colors!

I think its a very sweet project too, Lin! Everyone's way of dealing with loss is different isn't it? My MIL had pics up of my FIL all over the house when he died. I couldn't do that. When my best friend died I couldn't look at anything that reminded me of her.Still have a hard time with it and its been about 5 years.
I think scrapbooking is very cathartic though and its great to showcase your memories.

Dealing with a loss is so difficult - but I´m glad that we share the same hope... it´s so consoling and a huge help for me.
It´s a lovely project you share with us and it´s so full of hope with this tulip and the purple, the green and the bling... very beautiful!

Linda, I think this is a lovely to remember your mother. Mine died about 10 years ago, and at times it still makes me sad. I have a best friend who died several years ago and she was only 40, that was really rough. But, as Uli said, it is comforting with the hope we have. Your page is beautiful, and I also love the colors and the paper. You did a great job on the tulips. Hugs, dj

What a lovely way to remember your mom, Linda! Purple was my favorite color for a very long time but lately I have been leaning more toward blues and greens. I'm sure your mom would be honored to be remembered this way. Great work!
