Thanks House Mouse, and Thanks again

A couple of Thank You cards as you can see, using House Mouse. These are part of a decoupage collection. In both cases I've used section 2 of the decoupage pages, leaving the rest to actually turn into decoupage and use on other cards....I like to get the most out of my little housie mousies.

On this first card I coloured my background with chalks, just a random dusting. It looks better in person than in the pic. In both cards my paper is digital from Bearly Mine Designs, the ribbon binding and yellow striped button is ribbon girl, the flower prima (coloured with promarkers) and the beautiful pins are from Linda at Creative Harmony. Except for the flower, stamp and Linda's pins, nothing I've used is less than a year old, and some much, much older. I'm getting quite good at shopping my stash.

I've used a new technique on the inside. I coloured my stamp with promarkers, then damped the page with a baby wipe. That reactivated the promarkers to produce a 'distressed' looking image. I quite like the effect and think I'll have another play using more than one colour on the stamp. Sorry, I can't remember where in blogland I saw this....so if it was you, please let me know and I'll credit you for it.

Get Well cuddles

A card I made for a little girl with chicken pox, caught from her brother, his card is a few posts down lol. A Mo's DP image...as if you couldn't guess, she's called 'Your my best'. She is coloured with promarkers, and lyca pencils. My stacked up prima flowers are coloured with two shades of promarker, and I've outlined all edges with them too. My sentiment is handwritten with Sakura gel pen. The paper is glittered, get back to you with make, and button from stash and coloured with promarker...busy little pens.

Lovely Linda's Luxurious Pins

No, I'm not singing my own praises, these beautiful pins were made by Linda Burrows (Lindyloo) of Creative Harmony. I recently sent her some of my handmade bits and pieces and she sent these, all boxed up in sets of four, aren't they stunning.

This first four are my absolute favourites
and will be kept to be admired.

I will eventually force myself to use the rest in projects lol

And this is how they look all boxed up, pretty eh!!

Before I go I'd like to give a shout out for Christine who has just started blogging at Christine's Cards and Crafts. Previously I've seen Christine's projects showcased on Linda's blog, and they are stunning. Hope you'll go over and say hello, we all remember when we first started blogging don't we.

Adding Sunshine to My day.

This fun card is made for the Chalk N Stock #3 Challenge, Bingo. My paper is from the Mystery Pack I had from Sarah Wright Designs. I chalked all around the edges to distress it a little, and also chalked the white card behind my digi's. I merged the Sun digi and sentiment in PaintNet. I coloured Image with promarkers, and Lyra pencils, and outlined my cardstock with promarker too. My stickers, ribbon and buttons are stash. My digi's are a special set was created for Jennifer Scull who is battling cancer. All proceeds from the set will go directly to Jen's family. I know she'd be pleased if you popped over and gave her some some, she's a lovely and  inspirational lady.

Forget you're ill

A get well card for a five year old with chicken pox, poor boy. I'm hoping this will cheer him up a little, he likes cars. The image is Mo's, and he didn't originally have curly hair, so hope Mo doesn't mind me taking liberties with my colouring pencils. It means he's ended up with big hair, hope his mom likes the 80's look lol.

He's coloured mostly with ProMarkers, but Lyca pencils for the hair and the bumper and go faster stripe. I tired to make them look metalic as per the tutorial on Dorcas' Blog. I only had the dark & light cool grey so had to do my best with those. I'm not too displeased, but want my greys to do it properly lol.

My greeting is stamped, using a frame stamp and separate get well. They are both stamped in versamagic chalk, and the card outlined in the same chalk.

My cardstock is from the £10 Mystery Parcel I received from Sarah Wright today. It's a lovely pearl, shiny and embossed. The Mystery Parcel is well worth the money, I had beautiful double sided patterned A4 cardstock, A4, A5 & 8x8 double sided papers....all lovely. Stamp sets, rub on, sticker, including 3d Stickers, ribbon, raffia, velvet rik-rak. I am so pleased with everything.....such a lot of fun to unpack it all.

Get well Hugs

I adore this image by Delicious Doodles, it's one of four images I won a while ago on ATC & Cards with  Attitude. I did a little shading with  Promarkers in Warm Grey 3 and Arctic blue, and shaded all the way round with blue chalk ink from Versamagic. It's mounted on silver board, it's the lid of one of those foil food containers you can buy (not previously used). My blue lace and blue stick on pearls are part of Candy I won on Jennifer's Blog  she's quite poorly these days and I'm sure she'd appreciate you popping by to show her some love.

I've been shopping my stash recently to make some quick cards. All these cards are pre-printed and I've had them quite a number of years, and also all the die cuts, must be at least five. I love this little teddy, and he's a lot of fun to colour - using lyra pencils. His background is a piece of card that I used to soak up extra ink when I was playing with making some backings - waste not - want not and all that lol. I've edged around with versamagic chalk, but think I went overboard.

My wedding cards were fun, I stamped the die-cuts using versamagic chalk inks again, these are so versatile, and blend together beautifully too.
The diecut on this one is gold, and stamped on with stazon ink.

Doodle Bugs ATC's

My apologies to followers I've not got round to looking in on recently. It's been so hard to get back in the swing of things since my enforced blogging break due to laptop and internet problems. I'm trying to catch up lol.
A set of ATC's I made recently. My backing paper is Kay & Co, with bit's torn from a postage style stamps sheet. I diluted some green ink with cosmic shimmer and sponged it round the paper, and stamped  over the top. I then made rough sketches of insects and coloured them with Sakura Tiara gel pens. A final finishing touch of a dangly insect charm fastened with a brad. Hope you like them.
