Challenge Me A Challenge

There is still a couple of days to enter for my two candy stashes which you'll find here....or click on link in my sidebar. If you are already a follower, you only have to leave a comment on the candy post - what could be easier....though extra entries are available.

The last time I covered a notebook, it was with Winnie-the-Pooh wrapping paper. That was about 12 years or so ago, a little into my Pooh obsession, I was 40 when I 'discovered' the dear little fella lol. I've covered this for the challenge on DZ Doodles and this lovely young lady was a freebie to go along with it...you can still get her here for a few days more I think.

I rarely use gold, it's my usual practice to colour gold stickers with acetate pens, but liked the idea of it for this. I edged everything around with my new gold pro-marker pen (now you know why I went gold all of a sudden don't you lol); and also stencilled a few inspirational words on my backing paper. I considered giving my image a nice gold belt but was afraid of throwing her too far back into the eighties lol.

I coloured my paper lace and the edges of the flowers with a gold shimmer ink pad. The poor rose at the centre looks sadly squashed from the scanner, I know, but  rest assured it popped back up again once released.

As I was making a notebook to keep track of my challenges (upgrade on the reporters notebook), I decided to put brown in with the pink, to keep in line with my blog make over.

Great notebook Linda! Love the pink and brown. Have that image and was wondering what to do with her. Her colored her beautifully! The flower and ribbon are nice touches!

Great job, Lin! I love the notebook and how you've decorated it and you're so right, we need a logical way of keeping up with all the challenges!
I like your highlighting on her dress. :-)

What? A notebook? Keep trace on challenges? Hehee, I have pieces of paper about everywhere and of course I bin them before double and triple checking.

Nice job and really excellent outcome.

Very nice image Lin. Your colors work together beautifully. I also like the use of flower and ribbons. I've not been brave enough to enter any challenges yet, but I like the idea of keeping track of them once I do. :)

Great project Lindy, I have a notebook for my challenges (still don't have enough time to do them though) but it isn't a good looking as this. The colours you have chosen are fab and the image reminds me of me in the eighties. Loving all the ribbons on the spine they add real interest and texture.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful project with us at Creative Cowgirls Challenge. :-) xx
